1Your Consent to Electronic Records

By checking the consent box on the signing page and submitting your signature, you affirmatively consent to: (a) receive and sign records related to your work order electronically rather than on paper; (b) be legally bound by your electronic signature as if it were a handwritten signature; and (c) the use of electronic records as the primary record of your transaction with the auto repair shop ("the Shop").

2Right to Receive Paper Records

You have the right to request a paper copy of any work order or related record at no charge. To request a paper copy, contact the Shop directly using the phone number or address printed on your work order. SHOPNSIGN also provides a downloadable PDF of every signed work order on the confirmation screen, which you can print at any time.

3Right to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw your consent to do business electronically at any time before signing by closing the signing page and contacting the Shop to request a paper-based process instead. Withdrawing consent does not affect the legal validity of records you have already signed electronically. If you withdraw consent after signing, the Shop may need additional time to process your request, and electronic delivery of future records to you may be discontinued.

4Hardware and Software Requirements

To access, sign, and retain electronic records through SHOPNSIGN, you need:

• A device with internet access (smartphone, tablet, or computer)
• A current web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge — last two major versions)
• The ability to display HTML pages and download PDF files
• A touchscreen or mouse to draw your signature
• Sufficient storage space to retain a copy of signed documents
• An email address (if you wish to receive a signed copy by email)

If at any time these requirements change in a way that materially affects your ability to access electronic records, SHOPNSIGN will notify you and reaffirm your consent.

5How to Update Your Contact Information

The Shop sends signing links to the email address or phone number they have on file for you. To update your contact information, notify the Shop directly. SHOPNSIGN does not maintain a customer-facing account system; your contact details are managed by each Shop that serves you.

6What We Record When You Sign

When you sign a work order electronically, SHOPNSIGN captures and stores the following audit information to prove the validity of your signature:

• The name you typed when signing
• The graphical image of your handwritten signature
• The exact date and time of signing (UTC timestamp)
• The IP address from which you signed
• The browser and device information (user agent string)
• The work order number and content shown to you at the time of signing
• The version of this disclosure you consented to
• A confirmation that you actively checked the consent box

7Record Retention

SHOPNSIGN retains signed work orders and associated audit records for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of signing while the repair shop's account with SHOPNSIGN remains active. If the repair shop closes its account, the signed records are kept for thirty (30) days after closure so the shop can export them, and are then deleted within a reasonable time, except where a longer retention period is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. You are encouraged to download and retain your own copy of each signed work order for your records.

8Legal Effect

Under the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) and applicable state UETA statutes, electronic signatures and electronic records have the same legal force and effect as handwritten signatures and paper records. By electronically signing a work order through SHOPNSIGN, you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature on the work order.

1Su Consentimiento a Registros Electrónicos

2Derecho a Recibir Registros en Papel

Usted tiene derecho a solicitar una copia en papel de cualquier orden de trabajo o registro relacionado sin costo alguno. Para solicitar una copia en papel, comuníquese directamente con el Taller usando el número de teléfono o la dirección impresa en su orden de trabajo. SHOPNSIGN también proporciona un PDF descargable de cada orden de trabajo firmada en la pantalla de confirmación, que usted puede imprimir en cualquier momento.

3Derecho a Retirar el Consentimiento

Usted puede retirar su consentimiento para hacer negocios electrónicamente en cualquier momento antes de firmar, cerrando la página de firma y contactando al Taller para solicitar un proceso basado en papel. Retirar el consentimiento no afecta la validez legal de los registros que ya ha firmado electrónicamente. Si retira el consentimiento después de firmar, el Taller puede necesitar tiempo adicional para procesar su solicitud, y la entrega electrónica de registros futuros puede ser interrumpida.

4Requisitos de Hardware y Software

Para acceder, firmar y retener registros electrónicos a través de SHOPNSIGN, necesita:

• Un dispositivo con acceso a Internet (teléfono inteligente, tableta o computadora)
• Un navegador web actualizado (Chrome, Safari, Firefox o Edge — las últimas dos versiones principales)
• La capacidad de mostrar páginas HTML y descargar archivos PDF
• Una pantalla táctil o ratón para dibujar su firma
• Espacio de almacenamiento suficiente para retener una copia de los documentos firmados
• Una dirección de correo electrónico (si desea recibir una copia firmada por correo)

Si en algún momento estos requisitos cambian de manera que afecte materialmente su capacidad de acceder a los registros electrónicos, SHOPNSIGN le notificará y reafirmará su consentimiento.

5Cómo Actualizar Su Información de Contacto

El Taller envía los enlaces de firma a la dirección de correo electrónico o número de teléfono que tienen registrado para usted. Para actualizar su información de contacto, notifique directamente al Taller. SHOPNSIGN no mantiene un sistema de cuenta orientado al cliente; sus datos de contacto son gestionados por cada Taller que le atiende.

6Lo Que Registramos Cuando Firma

Cuando firma una orden de trabajo electrónicamente, SHOPNSIGN captura y almacena la siguiente información de auditoría para probar la validez de su firma:

• El nombre que escribió al firmar
• La imagen gráfica de su firma manuscrita
• La fecha y hora exactas de la firma (marca de tiempo UTC)
• La dirección IP desde la cual firmó
• La información del navegador y dispositivo (cadena de agente de usuario)
• El número y contenido de la orden de trabajo que se le mostró al momento de firmar
• La versión de esta divulgación a la que usted dio su consentimiento
• Una confirmación de que usted marcó activamente la casilla de consentimiento

7Retención de Registros

SHOPNSIGN retiene las órdenes de trabajo firmadas y los registros de auditoría asociados durante un mínimo de cinco (5) años a partir de la fecha de firma mientras la cuenta del taller de reparación con SHOPNSIGN permanezca activa. Si el taller cierra su cuenta, los registros firmados se conservan durante treinta (30) días después del cierre para que el taller pueda exportarlos, y luego se eliminan en un plazo razonable, salvo que la ley exija un plazo de conservación mayor o que sean necesarios para establecer o defender reclamaciones legales. Se le anima a descargar y retener su propia copia de cada orden de trabajo firmada para sus registros.

8Efecto Legal

Bajo la Ley federal ESIGN (15 U.S.C. § 7001 y siguientes) y los estatutos estatales UETA aplicables, las firmas electrónicas y los registros electrónicos tienen la misma fuerza y efecto legal que las firmas manuscritas y los registros en papel. Al firmar electrónicamente una orden de trabajo a través de SHOPNSIGN, usted acepta que su firma electrónica es el equivalente legal de su firma manual en la orden de trabajo.
